The 22-postion console system will feature an IP-connected backup facility and will leverage InterTalk’s integrated voting and transmitter steering system. The system is expected to go live later in 2017.
“SCL has some very unique operations, having made modifications to the existing console and radio systems over the years, and InterTalk is the ideal bridge between SCL’s existing system and their vision for the future,” said Chris Oldham, InterTalk vice president of operations.
With an increased emphasis placed on data security by the U.S. Department of Energy, InterTalk’s ISO 27001:2013 certification for information security management systems addressed the information security needs of Seattle City Light’s operations and its about 400,000 customers.
