JVCKENWOOD extends their series of multi-protocol digital radios with the introduction of the new NEXEDGE® NX-3000 Series of portables and mobiles. Capable of operating in either NXDN® or DMR Tier II, and FM analog, the NX-3000 Series has built-in GPS and Bluetooth and features renowned KENWOOD audio quality, enhanced with Active Noise Reduction (ANR) using built-in DSP and advanced AES, DES and DMR ARC4 optional encryption.
The NX-3220/3320 portable meets the IP67 standard for dust intrusion and immersion, is capable of UHF operation from 400-520 MHz and both the portable and NX-3720/3820 mobile have a bright multi-line, full dot-matrix LCD display. A seven-color Light Bar Indicator on the top of the portable can be programmed by the user to light or flash, making it easy to silently identify calls by channels or zones and facilitating easy visual alerting, even in low light or high noise situations. The radios also feature a built-in motion sensor (Man Down, stationary and motion detection) and users have the option of expanding up to 1,000 channels.
“The mixed digital NEXEDGE or DMR and FM analog operation facilitates an easy migration from analog to digital. ” commented John Grabowski, Director of Marketing and Communications, Communications Sector. “This is ideal for SMR operators, especially because dealers can stock a single radio model and fulfill orders based on their customer’s digital protocol selection. The NX-3000 Series is a solidly built, mid-tier priced radio that is ideal for demanding industrial environments.”
