Sweden’s Regulator Selects ATDI Software to Track Spectrum (6/21/10)
Swedish regulator Post-och Telestyrelsen (PTS) selected ATDI to define and tabulate the country’s radio resources. ATDI will use its spectrum management tool, ICS Manager, to present the information to PTS in a series of databases.
“PTS’ mandate is to ensure the spectrum is used to maximum benefit for the country and with maximum efficiency for all users,” said Catarina Wretman, PTS head of frequency management. “By choosing ATDI, we believe that we will be able to meet not only challenges that we see today regarding spectrum management, but also the future ones.”
The installation of software systems at PTS is backed by a consultancy contract through which ATDI engineers will support PTS staff. ATDI will produce databases for PTS covering license management, spectrum monitoring, coordination and spectrum planning, frequency assignments and channel allotments, zone allotments or band allocations, antennas and equipment, frequency allocation, and workflow management.
