PlantCML Participates in NENA ICE (7/22/10)
PlantCML, an EADS North America company, participated in the second Industry Collaboration Event (ICE), hosted by the National Emergency Number Association (NENA) at AT&T’s Training Center in Irving, Texas. ICE2 was designed to continue the testing of transitional elements from the current E9-1-1 system to next generation 9-1-1 (NG 9-1-1).

“This second in a series of industry-related events allowed PlantCML to continue the work started in the first event, held last November. The progression of the interoperability issues examined and tested between vendors will ultimately increase the effectiveness and responsiveness of emergency call center systems,” said Ian McGraw, chief technology officer for PlantCML.

“The industry still has hurdles to overcome to ensure interoperability and continuity of service, and these events are in place for us [industry vendors] to continue to work together to do just that.”
